It is an initiative to reclaim and to awake the International Women’s Day by collaborating with other NGO’s related to active women in the political and cultural scene: a scheme where cultural and social initiatives create and build a concrete network. Social, political and cultural NGO’s worked together to organize this event where debates, exhibition and music took a new way to reclaim.
The program will start at 3 P.M with debate sessions by the following:
Taharar Project: Digital censorship, freedom of speech, and women’s right in the Arab and the Islamic world
LECORVAW: Gender and relationships
HELEM: Lesbian identity in Lebanon
ATTAC: Women amidst patriarchal society and globalization
Women and Media: animated by Maha Yahia
Women and Political representation: animated by Tamam Mroue
An exhibition will be taking place during the day.
