In Concert is a musical association originally founded in Lebanon in 2002 as an experimental project and becoming an official organization in 2005. Since the early days, In Concert’s activities have focused on redefining the understanding of traditional musical spaces in the capital Beirut and eventually making way for decentralized and non-conventional spaces of performance that extend across the country. Whether in tiny or big towns, on a small or grand scale, in traditional or unusual surrounds, In Concert’s one insistence is that the music be accessible to anyone who may wish to listen. In Concert provides the opportunity to talented musicians, young and/or professional, national and/or international, in a wide variety of musical styles to perform in public and share their art with a listening audience. In this way, In Concert is also able to focus on its other mission: raising awareness of programs related to civil society which are designed to promote the inclusion of youth in community development. In Concert aims for the diffusion of: - upcoming amateur musicians performing for the first time - professionals performing in original contexts and unusual venues - the support of various, innovate, alternatives musical projects In Concert is in favor of artistic creativity through - workshops - “Jam session” concerts between professionals and amateurs - concerts, interactive encounters in a space where artists can communicate and associate freely In Concert is a source of information for - professional and amateur musicians - national and international operators - different types of organizations, associations, or others In Concert is a venue of dialogue and communication between - musicians and the audience - original and multiple musical expression and experiences In Concert is also to raise awareness - among youth through music - programs related to the civil society through music and artistic activities
